Answers to common questions about Efemia Bladder Support - including comfort, sizing, cleaning, wear time and everyday use.
Efemia Bladder Support is a vaginal, non-surgical insert designed to reduce urine leakage caused by stress urinary incontinence.
Efemia is designed for stress urinary incontinence — leakage that may happen during physical exertion, exercise, sneezing, coughing or laughing.
Efemia is inserted into the vagina so the support rings sit above the pelvic floor. When pressure is placed on the bladder, the mid-urethra is supported against the rings, helping reduce or prevent leakage.
Yes. Efemia does not need to be removed to urinate.
Efemia can be used for up to 16 hours per 24 hours. After this period, you must wash Efemia before re-use.
The Starter Set includes all three sizes: 30mm, 35mm and 40mm. First-time users are recommended to start with the smallest size. If it does not reduce leakage, try the medium size and then the largest size if needed.
Efemia Bladder Support is reusable for 3 months and should then be replaced.
Clean Efemia with water, soap and water, or boil it for 10 minutes. It can also be microwaved using a suitable Efemia cleaning bag.
